Jenette was diagnosed with cancer in April of this year and passed away about 11:00 AM Monday, June 20, 2011.

SEYMOUR — Myra Jenette “Jennie” Reed, age 73, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at her residence in Seymour. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Seymour, with Dr. David Warren, pastor, and Wayne Sharp officiating. Interment will be in the Brushy Cemetery near Goree, Tx., under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reed was born July 23, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Luther and Bear Gray Williams. She married Lloyd Reed on June 27, 1953 in Goree, Texas.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Reed of Seymour, Texas; by three daughters, Carla Engels and husband, John of Greeley, Colorado, Kim Deisher and husband, David of Keller, Texas, and Robin Shane of Burleson, Texas; by 8 grandchildren, Stephen Sims, Robby Blush, Jamie Oliva, Andrew Sims, Brittany Deisher, Wesley Deisher, Tyler Shane and Dylan Shane; and by 7 Great-grandchildren, Chandler, Wyatt and Landry Sims, Addison and Brianna Blush, and Vaughn and Marcus Oliva.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris Putman, and a daughter, Donna Kay Sims.

A visitation will be held at 6 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the First Baptist Church in Seymour.
