In loving memory, Eva Warren (October 19, 1914 - April 28, 2011)

Eva Warren, 96 a resident of Pine Tree Assisted Living in Paris, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011.

Funeral services will be 10:00A.M. Sat., April 30, 2011 in the Church of Christ of Honey Grove, Texas. Mr. Preston Boles and Mr. Roger Dawdy will officiate. Pallbearers serving will be family members. Burial will follow at Goree Cemetery in Goree, Texas. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10A.M. Sat. April 30, 2011, at the church prior to services.

Eva E. Warren was born Oct. 19, 1914 in Goree, Texas to parents, Edward A. Jones and Claudia Elizabeth Edwards Jones. She attended Hefner and Goree schools. After graduation in 1932, she continues her education at North Texas State University. She started teaching at Hefner Rural School. For the next seven years, she taught in the winters and attended North Texas in the summers. She also taught in various positions in the Goree public school before her retirement in 1978.

She was a longtime faithful member of the Church of Christ, worshiping in Goree, Selfs, Honey Grove, and Paris. Her family brought much joy to her. She loved cooking, sewing, quilting, and playing games, especially Chinese Checkers with the great grandchildren. She always had a wonderful smile that cheered those around her.

She married Elkin B. Warren Sept. 17, 1939 in Frederick, OK. and after 59 years of marriage before his death Feb. 2, 1998. Along with her loving husband she was preceded in death by her parents, son in law, Sammy Dobbs, sister, Lila Faye Mobley and two brothers, Clarence and Paul Jones.

They are survived by two daughters, Claudia and Roger Dawdy of Holly Lake, TX; and Fran Dobbs of Honey Grove, TX; Three granddaughters, Kristy and Eric Howell of Argyle, TX; April and Preston Boles of Honey Grove, TX; and Stacy and Randy Barnes of North Richland Hills, TX. Nine Great Grandchildren, JonAaron, Kyleb, Kason, and Julia Howell, Luke and Kendall Boles, Hudson, Easton, and Greyson Barnes.
