In Loving Memory~Sherry King

Sherry Haskin King, 71, of Wichita Falls, died Monday, August 17, 2009.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at the sanctuary of Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, with Pastor Craig Lile and the Rev. Harvey McMurry, officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A daughter of the late Delmer and Margaret L. “Bobbie” (Bingham) Haskin, she was born September 27, 1937, in Goree, Texas. On September 27, 1957, she married Pat King in Wichita Falls. Mrs. King was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. She worked in banking for over twenty years and retired from Bank of America. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Calbert Haskin.

Survivors include her husband, Pat King of Wichita Falls; son, Robbie King and wife, Diana of Wichita Falls; daughter, Teena Stephens and husband, Franz of Burkburnett; sister, Candy Estes of Goree; granddaughter, Carla King; grandsons, Austin Crook, Justin Crook and Colin Stephens.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Todd Gittings, Wade Haskin, Mark Haskin, Tony Sterling, Jimmy Routon, and Jan Jones.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

For those desiring, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: Hospice of Wichita Falls or to Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls.

In Loving Memory~Tommy Greenwood

Tommy Greenwood,74, of Goree, Texas died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in the Knox County Hospital in Knox City, Texas.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Goree First Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Denton officiating. Burial will be in the Goree Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas.

Mr. Greenwood was born July 13, 1934 in Haskell County, Texas. He was a farmer. He married Joyce Beecher February 27, 1954 in Knox City, Texas.

Survivors: Wife: Joyce of Goree, Two Daughters: Christye and Andrew Gannaway of Haskell, Texas and Amy and Rickey Redder of Munday, Texas; Two Sons: Butch and Heather Greenwood of Seymour, Texas and Joel and Deanna Greenwood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Two Sisters: Eva Dene Corley of Burleson, Texas and LaFern Dunlap of Munday, Texas; Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, at the McCauley-Smith Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.

EDWIN "EDDIE" KING - CLASS OF 1961

MUNDAY — Edwin “Eddie” King, 66, of Abilene died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, in Abilene. Eddie was a 1961 graduate of Goree High School and was the son of Loyd and Eleanor King.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. in the Goree Cemetery in Goree, Texas, on Wednesday, July 12, 2009, officiated by Adrin Fletcher. Burial is under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, Texas.

Survivors include nephew, Loyd Glen King of Sugarland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary King.
