KNOX CITY — Patsy Ruth Lankford, 78, passed away April 2, 2011, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Knox City Cemetery under the directon of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Knox City.
Patsy was born July 13, 1932, in Munday, Texas, to Ezra Pryor and Effie Yeager. She married Jackie Wayne Lankford December 24, 1952. She was retired from the Texas Department of Human Resources in Knox City where she worked as a secretary. She was a longtime resident of Knox City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nephew Terry Hollar. Patsy is survived by a daughter, Janet Kay Herzog of Wichita Falls; two sons, Michael Wayne Lankford of Round Mountain, and David Lynn Lankford of Knox City; one sister, Marjorie Hollar of Burleson; five grandchildren, Jill King of Wichita Falls, Emily Herzog of Wichita Falls, Douglas Pierce of Norfolk, Va., Audrey Lankford of San Angelo, Sondra Lankford of Lubbock; and one great-grandson, Chaz King of Wichita Falls. Memorials can be given to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas, and the Wichita Falls Humane Society.
