Millard Neal McSwain

McSWAIN, MILLARD NEAL, Passed away on January 21, 2008 at the age of 79. He was born to Eldon & Olive McSwain on September 15, 1928 in Rule, TX. He grew up in Goree, TX & graduated from Goree High School in 1946. For many years he was the owner of McSwain Garage, which was an Auto-Truck-Tractor repair shop. In 1967 the family moved from Goree to Garland, TX & has remained in this area. Millard retired from Collins/Rockwell in 1986. After that his part-time transmission business became full-time & he retired again in 2000. He moved to East Tawakoni in 1999, where he lived until his death. Millard was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Marion McSwain; & step-sister, Ruby Lou Lane. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Wilson; 2 sons, Lonnie McSwain & wife, Marsha, Billy McSwain & wife, Paula; one daughter, Judy McSwain Miller & husband, James; 5 grandchildren, Greg, Ashley, Brian, Amanda, & Jessica; 2 great grandsons & 2 great granddaughters; 1 sister, Eva McSwain Pechacek & many other relatives & friends that he dearly loved. Millard was a good man that was loved by all and will be missed. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, Eastgate Funeral Home, 6-8 p.m. with services on Thursday, January 24, 2008, 2:00 p.m., Eastgate Funeral Home Chapel.
