MUNDAY - Lorene Fitzgerald Hunt, 90, passed away Jan. 28, 2008 in the Munday Nursing Center. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Goree Cemetery on Sat. Feb. 2, 2008 at 1 p.m. Lorene was born on May 2, 1917, in Haskell County, Texas to Boss Fitzgerald and Mamie Cowsar Fitzgerald. She was a long time resident of Goree, where she married George W. Hunt. Lorene was a homemaker and mother of four children.

Her husband, George W. Hunt, preceded her in death, as well as daughter, Judi Hunt Walsworth, and two brothers, Denzil and Porter Fitzgerald. Survivors are son, Joe David Hunt of Vernon, daughters and spouses, Sharon and Bill Fox of Fort Worth, Cindy and Bob McWhorter of Seymour, sister, Jonell Patterson of Munday, and brother and sister-in-law, David Norris and Frances Fitzgerald of Midland. She has eight grandchildren, Lori Rosenstein, Leslie Hamlin, Christal Warren, Jay Walsworth, Lance McWhorter, Marc McWhorter, Jodi Hunt, and Shelby Hunt, and seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
