She was at the last Goree Homecoming three years ago and probably wants to come this year. Dimple attended Goree Schools back only when it went to the tenth grade. Her daughter, Lynell, graduated from GHS in 1965. Dimple was the best Room Mother any class could have. She was ALWAYS there planning those great Valentine or other class parties. Later in life Dimple and her late husband, S. B., took the job of being caretakers for the Goree Cemetery. They were so dedicated to that job that they would spend 40 hours a week out there and even eat lunch sitting in their car. You could not find one measly weed in that cemetery back then. It was always a beautifully manicured sight.<BR/><BR/>So, my friends, if you want to send a birthday comment to help <BR/>celebrate this amazing milestone in Dimple's life, go right ahead.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
